Each of us likes to drink a glass of juice after a meal. Most often we buy it in the store. But it will be much more useful to make juice yourself. To ensure that you always have freshly squeezed natural juice at home, you need to buy a juicer. If you want to get tomato juice, then you need a juicer for tomatoes.
Juicers can be divided into several groups:
- screw (electric and manual);
- centrifugal, intended for different types of fruits and vegetables, including tomatoes.
- juicers-presses, intended for soft fruits and vegetables.
Electric screw juicer for tomatoes
The screw electric juicer for tomatoes is a meat grinder with a special nozzle intended for obtaining juice from tomatoes and other berries and vegetables.
Screw juice squeezers can vary in the following parameters:
- overall dimensions;
- the weight;
- body material;
- screw speed;
- spinning technology (twin-screw, single-screw, horizontal or vertical);
- the diameter of the hole for the laying of vegetables or fruits.
Inside such a model of the juicer is an electric motor that starts the rotation of the grater grinding the vegetables. The advantage of this model is that during the preparation of the juice the pulp is held inside the device and exits through the opening at the end of the screw.
Comes with this juicer is a special measuring cup, which is intended for tomato juice.
Electric juicers are of three types:
- household: used for making juice at home;
- professional: they buy restaurants and bars;
- industrial: for mass production of juice.
The principle of operation is as follows: as a result of the snack engine of the device, the tomatoes are turned into a gruel, from which the juice is subsequently squeezed out under pressure. Tomatoes are laid in a special hole and pushes the tomatoes forward with a pusher.
The electric juicer may have a horizontal or vertical auger. And recently on sale it is possible to meet models in which manufacturers of home appliances have placed at once two augers. In this case they rotate in opposite directions.
Handmade juicer for tomatoes
The hand model of the juicer looks like an ordinary meat grinder. The auger is shaped like a cone.
Thanks to this similarity with a simple meat grinder, it can also be used to make tomato juice, if you use a special nozzle.
The principle of operation of this kind of juicer is to manually activate the screw, which presses the vegetables and separates the juice that flows down the groove into the container. The cake will come out of the special hole separately.
Of all models of juicers, it is the manual model that is the most reliable. Such a juicer is easy to operate, does not require special care and, as a rule, is less expensive than a mechanical or electric juicer.
Centrifugal juicer for tomatoes
However, the very name of the centrifugal juicer for tomatoes is just a convention, since it is the same usual juicer, in which, in addition to tomatoes, you can get juice from a large number of vegetables and fruits. The principle of its operation is based on the grinding of the fruits of small crayfish and the allocation of juice with a rapid rotation of the centrifuge. If you need to get 1-2 glasses of juice - this juicer will cope with the task. However, when it comes to large volumes - it is impractical, because it does not squeeze enough juice from the pulp, and you will have to open it very often to clean the grater and the inside of the apparatus.
The mechanical model of the juicer for tomatoes and other fruits works on the principle of a conventional press. To produce juice, put the product on a special stand, push the lever down, creating a certain pressure. As a result, the juice is isolated. This is probably the most inappropriate kind of juicer to get juice from tomatoes, since it does not allow you to thoroughly rub the flesh and get as much juice as possible. But, for one morning glass of drink - the device is quite suitable.
Having in your kitchen such a kitchen appliance as a juicer, you can prepare freshly squeezed juice from tomatoes for yourself and your loved ones every day.
