Kornik is a traditional Russian pie, which has retained its popularity over time. There are many ways to prepare this truly royal pie, and they vary in the variations of the filling, and the variety of the test used. Some cook kurik from puff or yeast dough, using several kinds of fillings, separated by pancakes, others prefer a simpler version of it and are prepared from an unleavened dough. Today we will consider the options for preparing a dough for a kurik on kefir. It turns out to be tender, airy, very easy to prepare and does not require special culinary skills.
How to make dough for kurik on kefir - recipe
- kefir fat content of 3.2% - 250 ml;
- margarine cream - 250 g;
- salt - 1/2 tsp;
- soda - 1/2 teaspoon;
- vinegar 9% - 1 teaspoon;
- wheat flour.
Kefir with a fat content of 3.2% or more is mixed with soda, extinguished vinegar, salt, melted and cooled margarine and mix well. Now we pour a little sifted wheat flour and start a soft, but not sticky dough.
We wrap it with a food film and determine it in a quiet place at room temperature for one and a half to two hours. At the end of the time, the dough for kurik on yogurt is completely ready, you can proceed to the formation of the pie.
The recipe for the kurik keemaker with eggs
- kefir 3,2% - 250 ml;
- butter - 150 g;
- eggs - 1-2 pieces;
- salt - 10 g;
- soda - 10 g;
- vinegar - 10 ml;
- granulated sugar - 35 g;
- Wheat flour - 700 g or how much will take dough.
Eggs beat up with sugar until airy and magnificent, add salt, soda, extinguished with vinegar, melted butter, pour kefir and mix. Now pour in a small portion of sifted flour and start a soft dough. We wrap it with food film, we place it in a bowl and place it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours to ripen. After the time has elapsed, we proceed to the formation of the product.

Kornik with potatoes from dough on kefir in the oven
- dough on kefir;
- chicken meat (pulp) - 450 g;
- potato tuber - 700 g;
- onion - 120 g;
- butter - 75 g;
- ground black pepper - to taste;
- salt - to taste;
- egg - 1 piece;
- Spices to choose from - to taste.
Prepare the dough on kefir, taking as a basis one of the above recipes and while it will be infused, prepare all the ingredients for the filling. Chicken meat washed, carefully dried with a paper towel and cut into small slices. Potatoes are rid of skins and cut into cubes of small size. We remove onions from shells and shred small cubes.
After the test is ready, we divide it into two parts, one is rolled out and placed in an oiled form for baking. At the bottom lay out the cubes of potatoes, pre-salt them, pepper and seasoning with spices. Then we distribute chicken meat with onions. Do not forget to also sprinkle with salt, pepper and spices. On top, lay out pieces of butter and cover the second, rolled up to the desired size, a layer.
